Who really 'founded' Singapore?

I think Sir Stamford Raffles is the real founder of Singapore. It is recorded in books, articles and journals that he first landed on Singapore on 28th January 1819 as he wanted to find an ideal place to establish a trading settlement. He was also the one who signed the treaty with Sultan Hussein and the Temenggong on 6th February 1819.

While Major William Farquhar was the one who changed the quiet fishing village to a busy town of new settlers, he was not the one who first stepped on the island. He only landed on the next morning, 29th January 1819 at the mouth of the Singapore River.

I also do not agree that Sang Nila Utama is the founder of Singapore as it has only the Sejarah Melayu as the evidence to support it. And on top of that, I also find one part of the Sejarah Melayu untrue as well as superstitious. It is the part where the violent storm only subsided after Sang Nila Utama had thrown his crown overboard. Another contradicting point is where the Sejarah Melayu recorded that Sang Nila Utama had seen a black headed lion on the island when this kind of lions do not exist on the island at all.
